The source image’s tension between the organic and the manufactured inspired me to explore how nature is held within human order. I wrapped a stone, a vessel of memory and time, in plastic, allowing it to exist between preservation and suffocation. The gesture became a meditation on how our urge to protect can interfere with what is best left untouched.
