I kind of liked the layering/montage effects of Lotte’s image. I had feelings of transience and absence. I love reading and was at first thinking of doing something with a book: pages are also referred to as leaves.

A few days later I was sitting outside and looked up at the sun shade covering the space. Leaves had fallen on it and I could see a connection and a continuity to Lotte‘s image, but I needed some adjustments. So here is a layering (doubling) of the image in the same frame. The points of sharp focus in contrast with those out of focus also creates an ethereal narrative.
