I associated the image of Suzanne with dreams and the universe. Likewise, the textures and colours remind me of the European flag. The ladder symbolises bridge-building and connection. What could be more fitting for this project … ?

These thoughts inspired me to create a self-portrait wearing a disco ball helmet in a futuristic setting. The helmet stands as a poetic metaphor, refracting the distant lights of the galaxies and reflecting the vastness of the universe in a thousand bright reflections of infinite mirrors, transforming the endless expanses of space into a kind of cosmic dance floor.

Just as I hope PHOTOMINO will succeed in creating connections in a playful way, despite (or perhaps precisely because of) our differences, and in enabling mutual reflection and shared radiance across national borders.
