Even small doors lead into large rooms

In this image, gold symbolises cosmic wisdom and the path of human transformation: the process through which inner lead is transmuted into gold, as alchemists seek to do. My work is entirely centred on this movement of change and metamorphosis. I used the ladder to represent a connection to the divine and to a broader sense of self.
