The photograph caught my attention with its lines – branches and tree trunks crossing and stretching across the entire scene. This structure inspired me to create a surreal self-portrait. In the centre, there is me – my consciousness, perceiving reality, processing it and transforming it into an inner world of thoughts.
The blue threads running through the image symbolise thoughts, memories, and connections. Sometimes delicate, sometimes tense, but always linking a person to the place they inhabit. They represent invisible strands of emotion – hard to describe, yet deeply present within us.
What began as a simple documentary scene became a personal image – a look inwards.
